Authorities have started ‘Consultant Selection Process’ for the development of Central Business District (CBD) Railway station in Naya Raipur. At least seven prominent Consulting agencies of the country assembled at the office of the Naya Raipur Development Authority (NRDA) on Wednesday to bag the project.
The authorities will select one of the agencies for the project. A jury which has been entrusted with the work of selecting the agencies have started evaluating the action plan submitted by the agencies. Although 13 agencies had submitted their bids for the works, seven were shortlisted out of them.NRDA Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Amit Kataria said officials have been going through the presentation given by the agencies. After evaluating their presentation, any one of them would be selected.
He said the CBD railway station is going to be one of most advanced and busy commercial railway stations in the country.In Naya Raipur, four railway stations would be established which are Naya Raipur Railway Station, Udyog Nagar, CBD Railway Station and Mela Maidan.Since the CBD Railway station would be set up in the midst of Mantralaya, CBD, office complex it would be developed as a Metro Station.
