The Chhattisgarh Pradesh Congress Committee (CGPCC) will hold demonstrations in Mahasamund and Rajnandgaon over a side set of issues during the next two days. The issues pertain to State government’s ration card cancellation drive, due payments of MGNREGA to the labourers and minimum support price (MSP) and demand bonus on paddy procurement, CGPCC president, Bhupesh Baghel, ClP leader, TS Singhdeo and other senior party leaders will participate in a protest in Mahasamund on Saturday and in Rajnandgaon on Sunday, a party press release issued here on Friday stated. During the protest, the party leaders will raise demands for clearing due payments of MGNREGA to the local labourers and demand paddy procurement on MSP of Rs 2100/quintal and also provide bonus of Rs 300 per quintal, it stated.
