Chhattisgarh Pradesh Congress Committee (CGPCC) President, Bhupesh Baghel and ClP leader TS Singhdeo on Wednesday termed the state-wide bandh in protest of sterilization camp incident in Bilaspur district which claimed at least 13 lives so far a ‘major success’.

“Chief Minister, Raman Singh and Health Minister, Amar Agrawal have no right to be on their post. They should resign on moral grounds” they said in a joint press release issued here.

Both the senior Congress leaders added that the citizens themselves voluntarily kept their business establishments, schools, hotels etc closed for the day. Baghel alleged that a system of spurious medicines and equipments is active in the State.

He raised questions on the authenticity of the post mortem reports. Baghel demanded to save viscera of the deceased.

In the death of a woman belonging to Baiga community of primitive tribe group reported after she was operated upon in a government-run camp in Gorela, Baghel also wrote to the President of India for his intervention in the matter.
