The Congress will hold a ‘Jan Adhikar Maha rally’ here on Tuesday to press for the Chhattisgarh Governor's immediate approval of two reservation amendment bills passed by the Assembly.
AICC Chhattisgarh in-charge Kumari Selja will reach Raipur on Tuesday to take part in the rally to be led by PCC chief Mohan Markam and joined by Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel and his cabinet colleagues.
Markam claimed that more than one lakh people from across the state will take part in the rally which will culminate into a public meeting at the Science College Ground.
Markam said in a statement that the government prepared the reservation amendment bills after examining all constitutional aspects and these were passed unanimously in the assembly.
There should be no unnecessary delay by the Governor in approving the bills, he said.
