Chhattisgarh BJP President Arun Sao on Thursday accused the Congress government of misleading the youth by telling lies.
He said it was printed in the Congress election manifesto that Rs 2,500 will be given as allowance to each unemployed youth.
At Rs 2,500 a month, the total for the last four years comes to Rs 1.25 lakh for each youth. Thus, the government is indebted to them by not keeping the promise, Sao said.
He said the ‘Halla Bol’ organized by the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha saw youths from different parts of state take part in the protest.
For the first time, the government used freight containers to block the roads.
The BJP condemned the use of abusive words against the party leaders and workers by the Congress leaders.
Extending support to the striking state government employees and officers, Sao said all the government and administrative work has come to a halt across the state.
