Staff Reporter

The Congress on Sunday alleged that the Modi regime has failed on all fronts and said that it is cover up the failures that the BJP has launched a door-to-door campaign in Chhattisgarh and nationally.

Chhattisgarh Pradesh Congress Committee spokesperson Dhananjay Singh Thakur said in a statement: “Modi 1.0 and one year of Modi 2.0 have caused misery and pain to the people.

"In the first term, without giving a second thought, demonetization and Goods and Services Tax (GST) were implemented and now in Modi 2.0 due to laxity the coronavirus epidemic is taking a toll on the entire country.”

“To cover up the total failures, the BJP plans to reach 10 crore houses and 23 lakh families in Chhattisgarh to highlight "achievements of the Modi government which never happened,"

Thakur added: “Unemployment, inflation, intolerance, shattered economy, insecurity for women and children while even during illness and crime classification is being done on the basis of religion. A different kind of definition of nationality and patriotism has been given.”

Posing questions, Thakur said: “The government promised 2 crore employment every year. The prices of crude oil have fallen drastically but people are forced to pay higher price for petrol and diesel. The privatization of Navratna companies is on, labour laws are being changed. Why is BJP silent on these issues?”

CPCC spokesperson Sushil Anand said the BJP chief had violated the social distancing rules when he visited 12 houses and in eight met families by sitting inside the house at Ashoka Park, Khamardih.

The is objectionable and a violation of lockdown rules. He demanded an apology from Sai and said action be initiated for violating the Epidemic Diseases Act.
