Chhattisgarh State Congress president Nand Kumar Patel, at a meeting of Parivartan Yatra held here on Monday said that the BJP government in the state had carried out a big conspiracy against the tendupatta collectors this year. The revenue has been decreased by Rs 200 crore because middlemen were engaged in the tender of tendupatta collection. It would directly affect the bonus to be given to the poor and tribal tendupatta collectors next year, he added.
Patel said that Chhattisgarh has been blessed with plenty of mineral resources, but due to the political interference of the BJP government, the priced minerals of the region have been smuggled through middlemen. The Raman government was backstabbing the tribal, he alleged.
He said that the government that claims zero power cut in rural areas has been putting the people in trouble through load-shedding. It would be in the interest of Chhattisgarh that the BJP government be thrown away from power in the next Assembly election, he added.Patel said that now time has come to teach a lesson to the BJP government that had made hollow promises with the people of the state. Patel said that by taking out Parivartan Yatra at each assembly constituency of Chhattisgarh, the State Congress, on the instructions of AICC president Sonia Gandhi and vice president Rahul Gandhi, has been making the people of the state aware of the corruption, breach of promises of the Raman government. MlA Amitesh Shukla said that the quality of roads, bridges and culverts has not been maintained and these would be washed away during the rainy season. Scams of crores of rupees happened,
he added.
