All India Congress Committee (AICC) Vice President Rahul Gandhi on Saturday said that the Congress party would ensure 'transformative development’ of Bastar and Chhattisgarh if it comes to power in the State in the Assembly polls slated next year.
Addressing a gathering at Makrel region of Bastar on the second day of his two-day visit of Bastar region, Gandhi said that his party would set up such a hospital in Bastar that people from Vishakhapatnam will come from treatment in it instead of the current system of the ruling BJP Government referring people of Bastar with ailments like cancer and heart problems to hospitals in Vishakhapatnam.
‘If Bastar is weak, the entire country is weak. We will not allow anybody to weaken Bastar.When the Congress Government will be formed in Chhattisgarh, people of Bastar region would be cared for like the Congress party workers. Whenever you call me, I will come and support you, he said.
