The Congress on Monday claimed that they will register an easy win in the upcoming Dantewada by-polls.
Notably, the Chhattisgarh Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) had announced that the polling for Dantewada seat will be held on September 23.
“During the 2018 assembly elections Congress had bagged 11 seats in Bastar region. This time we will win the election as at the ground level we have introduced a slew of public welfare works and several decisions for the betterment of people were taken by Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel’s government,” claimed Chairman of Chhattisgarh Congress communication department Shailesh Nitin Trivedi.
According to Trivedi in past nine months Congress- led state government has always kept Bastar on its priority list. For the first time Baster Development Authority (BDA) is being led by a MLA from Bastar, so that BDA could take decisions that are in accordance with the needs of the region.
Citing decisions like hiking the remunerations for Tendupatta leaf collectors from Rs 2,500 to Rs 4,000, returning the acquired land at Lohandiguda back to farmers, revision of over 4,50,000 land Pattas and several others, he claimed that Congress party was working for the welfare of Tribal people in Bastar.
