President of Chhattisgarh Pradesh Congress Committee Charan Das Mahant released charge sheet against Dr Raman Singh’s Government alleging them of being anti-people and corrupt.
The charge sheet was released in presence of several key Congress party leaders including Chhattisgarh in-charge of Congress BK Hariprasad and others in a Press conference here on Sunday. In the charge sheet, Congress alleged ruling BJP Government for failing on all fronts. “The way in which BJP Government has failed to stop Naxal violence suggests of nexus between the ruling party and the Maoists,” it said. The State Government is responsible for the death of Congress leader in Jeeram Ghati which was outcome of inappropriate security measures, the charge sheet maintained.
Notably the first phase of the State Assembly election would be held in Bastar and Rajnandgaon region on Monday. Charge sheet accused the BJP Government of forcing farmers for selling their lands to industrial houses. Iron ore and coal mines, rivers and forests have been handed over to some industrial organisation without following proper transparent procedures, it maintained. The botch-eye cases, uterus removal case, issue of allotment of Coal block to SMS Infrastructure a company owned by close associate of former BJP president Nitin Gadkari have also been raised in the charge sheet.
