Reacting strongly to the statement of State Congress president Bhupesh Baghel regarding surrender by insurgents, BJP State spokesperson and MlA Shivratan Sharma said that the former is left with no work besides issuing baseless statements.
Surrender by Naxals is a positive sign but Baghel is looking things only through political glasses, said Sharma.He accused Baghel of trying to mislead the people through his statements.Sharma said that the Jeeram valley ambush by Maoists on the Congress party convoy is being investigated by National Investigation Agency (NIA) and Baghel should not politicize the issue.
“If Baghel has doubts on the statement given by any insurgent then he should also specify the ground. From his statements, it seems that Baghel himself has some hidden facts regarding the incident,” said Sharma.
He also raised a question on unity in Congress party and said that the factionalism in the party has reached to such an extreme level that Baghel is struggling in the party.He (Baghel) is desperately trying to mark his presence in each and every issue. “As far as Antagarh by-poll is concerned, Congress has been defeated four times and should be prepared for the fifth time,” added Sharma.
