In a move to counter BJP’s Vikas Yatra, senior tribal leaders of Congress’ Bastar region including Deputy leader of Opposition Kawasi lakhma and former minister Manoj Mandavi flagged off 'Vikas Khojo Yatra’ from Dantewada on Sunday.
Addressing a rally on this occasion, lakhma said the Congress has taken out its own yatra to show mirror to BJP which falsely claims that development has taken place in the state.
“We will establish during the coming up weeks that BJP has done nothing for the state, its claim for development is a blatant lies, the Congress will expose the BJP before people,’’ lakhma who is MlA from Bastar’s Sukma seat, remarked at the rally.
The National Students Union of India (NSUI) and Youth Congress have specially been instructed to make the Vikas Khojo Yatra a successful movement, he said. State President of NSUI, Akash Sharma and Youth Congress leaders of Bastar region actively participated in the flagging-off programme.
