Chhattisgarh Government will effect a reshuffle of collectors and other IAS officials next week once Chief Minister returns from Delhi on Sunday, top official sources informed.
“A major reshuffle of district collectors is on the cards, it’s all likely to be any day after January 20,” sources said. “In the first lot, several district collectors will be reshuffle followed by other IAS officers posted in secretariat,” the source said. The names of the district collectors who would be reshuffled have not been decided finally yet. But it is believed that the collectors of those districts where the BJP faced major defeats in November month assembly polls such as Korba and a few districts of Bastar as well as Surguja regions, would be reshuffled.
Reports say that in certain districts, local BJP leaders have urged Raman Singh and their State leaders to urgently shift collectors as their ‘arrogant behaviour’ towards public is creating an anti-BJP sentiment and it may prove costly for the party which is eyeing to win all 11 lok Sabha seats in parliamentary polls due in April/May this year.
