Jashpur District Collector Himshekhar Gupta, in a review meeting organised at Kunkuri ordered to suspend Jashpur Panchayat Secretary Ankit Ram Chouhan and Panchayat Secretary Budh Ram Nayak within 24 hours if they fail to complete their work, official sources informed on Sunday. Nearly 81 Gram Panchayat Sarpanchs and secretaries attended the meeting. District Panchayat Chief Executive Officer JP Maurya and Deputy Collector Sunil Nayak were also present at the meeting.
Addressing the meeting, Collector Gupta instructed the officials to resolve all the applications under lok Suraaj Abhiyaan and to tighten the working of Panchayats so as to rationalise it properly. He also went through the implementation of the schemes on ground level and gave important instructions to the officials.
The collector instructed the officials to distribute salary to the anganbadi workers on time and to pay promotional money to the mitanins. He also went through the list beneficiaries of Fair Price Shops and Nal-Jal Yojana. He ordered the officials to personally monitor the implementation of Swatch Bharat Abhiyaan. The meeting was concluded with the instruction to all the Sarpanches and Secretaries to be present in their office during working hours and any negligence from their side would create problem from them.
