District Collector Shruti Singh reached the Community Health Centre (CHC) at Devbhog and found that X-ray and Smart Card services were not available at the facility.
Expressing displeasure, she reprimanded the Chief Medical and Health Officers (CMHO) and Block Health Officer and directed them to get started the services soon.
The Collector also directed the Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) to monitor various works at the centre.
She also issued a show cause notice to Block Medical Officer Dr Sunil Singh who was absent during her sudden inspection of the centre.
Earlier, the Collector at Devbhog carried out sudden inspection of Pre-matric girl’s hostel, and Pre-matric boy’s hostel.
During her visit, she interacted with girls in the hostel and inquired about their studies and facilities available in the hostel.
She was then informed that the School Superintendent had not received salary for the last three months.
The Collector taking note of the non-payment of salary asked the Assistant Commissioner of Tribal Welfare Department to pay the salary of the Superintendent at the earliest.
