District Collector, Ankit Anand on Saturday convened a joint meeting of NMDC officials and KVM office-bearers in a bid to end the ongoing strike by farmers demanding proper rehabilitation and other facilities for project-hit people of NMDC’s Nagarnar project.
During the meeting, Anand informed KVM office-bearers about the efforts being made by NMDC for rehabilitation of the affected people under Chhattisgarh Rehabilitation Policy 2007. On KVM office-bearers’ demand to speed up development works in Nagarnar area, the Collector informed them of using 80 per cent of CSR fund for this purpose.
