Chief Minister Raman Singh has reiterated his resolve to ensure full implementation of State Government’s ‘zero tolerance policy’ to fight corruption in various departments across the State.
While hoisting the Tricolour besides taking the guard of honour at the Surguja Divisional headquarters in Ambikapur on the occasion of the Republic Day, the Chief Minister stated that no type of corruption would be tolerated in Government work in the State. “The officials and employees need to maintain an attitude of friendliness with the people. It is my humble appeal to the officials and employees that they must not support any act of corruption in Government work,” Singh said.
“We would together create such an environment in Chhattisgarh that there would be no trace of any official corruption,” he said. The Chief Minister further remarked: “The Indian Constitution is supreme for us. As a result, while having faith in the Constitution we would strive to strengthen the democracy to protect the interests of the people, one the other hand, we would not back out from stamping down elements who are anti-constitution, anti-democracy besides Naxalism and other violent elements.” Singh later mentioned all the key points made in the poll manifesto for the just concluded Assembly polls on the occasion.
