The procession of ‘Ram, Lakshman and Sita’ on Ram Van Gaman Tourism Circuit was welcomed by Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel at Surajpur.

Lord Ram is headed towards his ‘Nanihaal’ Chandkhuri on ‘Paryatan Rath’. The chariot is followed by a bike rally.  A similar chariot is moving from Sukma district in the southern part of Chhattisgarh towards Chandkhuri.

Large numbers of devotees await the arrival of the chariot. The procession is welcomed with kalash, lamps and flower petal showers on the way.

The mega Bike Rallies were flagged off simultaneously from Korea and Sukma districts on December 14 to mark the completion of two years of the Congress government in Chhattisgarh.

The bikes reached their scheduled destination on Tuesday -- Surajpur in the north and Barsur in the south.

After performing customary rituals at Ram Mandir at Surajpur, Baghel flagged off the Ram Van Gaman Paryatan Rath and the bike rally in the temple premises to Sarguja.

Health, Panchayat and Rural Development Minister T.S. Singh Deo, Higher Education, Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Umesh Patel were present.

After leaving Surajpur, the bike rally will move across various destinations, covering nearly 300 km to reach Raigarh. In Barsoor in southern Chhattisgarh, Deepak Baij, MP, flagged off the bikers.

To boost the bikers' morale, Baij himself rode a bike and travelled about 200 km till Kondagaon.

On the way, the bikers were accorded a grand welcome in Geedam, Chitrakote and Bhanpuri. In Jatayushila and Garghanaura of Kondagaon, Ramayana recitation and folk dances were held.

On December 16, the bike rallies will start from Raigarh in the north and Kanker in the south.
