Chief Minister Raman Singh on Tuesday strongly condoled the demise of former Vice-Chancellor of Pandit Ravishankar Shukla University Raipur Professor laxman Chaturvedi.
Singh in a condolence message mentioned that Prof. laxman Chaturvedi was renowned educationist who earned name and fame all over the country.
“He was expert in Physics and a great intellectual. He was the former Vice-Chancellor of Pandit Ravishankar Shukla University and the first Vice-Chancellor of Guru Ghasidas Central University Bilaspur. He dedicated his entire life for the cause of education,’’ Singh was quoted as saying in an official press release.
CM expressed his deep sympathies to the members of the bereaved family.
Professor laxman Chaturvedi was Vice-Chancellor of Guru Ghasidas University Bilaspur from 1 March 2009 to 28 February 2014 and previous to that tenure he was Vice-Chancellor of Pandit Ravishankar Shukla University Raipur.
