Chief Minister Raman Singh has launched a mobile-based ‘Haj App’ of Chhattisgarh State Haj Committee, specially prepared for the Haj pilgrims of the State.
The Chief Minister launched the App at his residence here on Saturday. The App will be helpful in providing facilities to the Haj pilgrims in identifying places, free SMS and in contacting their friends and relatives on mobile during their journey. It will show the location of the particular pilgrim among the lakhs of people.
Chhattisgarh Haj Committee chairman Salim Raj told the Chief Minister that Chhattisgarh was the first State that has launched the App for facilitating the Haj pilgrims. With this free facility of SMS and mobile, each pilgrim could save at least Rs10,000, he added.The Chief Minister congratulated Dr Raj for this achievement of the Haj Committee. He also released the Haj Guide and Haj CD published by the committee.
Dr Raj told the Singh that the committee has been providing medicine kits to the Haj pilgrims. Haj Committee Secretary Sajid Memon was present on the occasion.
