Children of a Mohalla Class conducted under the 'Padhai Tuhar Duar' scheme in village Amaleshwar in Durg district's Patan tehsil came in for praise from Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel after they answered his various questions quickly and correctly.

After hearing the answers related to Hindi, Mathematics and Environment, Baghel generously praised and encouraged them, an official statement said.

The children told the Chief Minister that their school teaches them lessons through music. On his request, a student recited Tulsidasji’s couplet.

He then asked the        children questions about the exponent and the multiplication table of 18. The children again replied correctly.

The Chief Minister said he was impressed with the quality of education.

At the class, Baghel told the children to not only be aware about environmental conservation but to ask     people not dump plastic into the nearby Kharun river. Polluted water is the cause of 80 percent of the diseases.

As trees absorb carbon dioxide, planting more trees can help in decreasing global warming, which is a major concern for the entire world, he said.

On the occasion, the    children requested the Chief Minister for musical       instruments like dholak and tabla for the school. He   promised these will be        provided soon.
