Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Saturday virtually launched three key services for the Raipur Municipal Corporation (RMC) limits -- ‘Oxygen on Wheels’, a free ambulance service and free dry ration distribution.
Launching the schemes, Baghel said RMC with all preparedness and responsibility is extending facilities to the city residents during Covid-19 and lockdown.
The Corporation has prepared a hospital at the Indoor Stadium to treat patients, an official communication said on Saturday. He added that at a time where there was an oxygen shortage in several states, in Chhattisgarh home service is being provided to patients in need of oxygen. The ‘Oxygen on Wheels’ service will be extended to such patients having oxygen saturation less than normal. They will be provided with an Oxygen concentrator, free of cost. The home isolation team would collect health updates on a regular basis. On recovery, the concentrator service will be withdrawn. Under the other scheme, dry ration will be provided to poor families. On Saturday, around 7,000 packets were flagged off for free distribution.
