Nand Kumar Baghel, father of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, suffered minor head injury after he slipped in a bathroom at Circuit House in Ambikapur on Sunday. He was in the city to participate in a social programme.
“On Sunday noon he had entered into the bathroom to get freshened up but slipped and fell down. Security personnel hearing the noise broke open the door and found him lying on the floor,” Amarjeet Bhagat, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Minister, told reporters.
Bhagat informed that he along with senior minister TS Singhdeo, rushed to the circuit house immediately after they received the news.
Doctors who delivered first aid to injured Baghel, described his condition Rs fine’. Authorities and Congress leaders managed to persuade him to airlift him to Raipur for better medical treatment.
