The Chhattisgarh State Industrial Development Corporation (CSIDC) has offered a fifty per cent penalty waiver for industries and industrial areas if they clear all of their long pending dues by March 20, a statement said on Friday.

The Corporation imposes 18 to 24 per cent penalty on industries  if they do not clear their dues in time towards the facilities created for them including land, electricity, and water.

The CSIDC officials said the waiver would be applicable to  those industries only which would clear their outstanding dues in full on March 20.  In case they failed to do so, they will have to pay about 18-24 per cent penalty as usual.

A necessary circular has been issued by the Corporation headquarters at Raipur and has been sent to its branch office at Tifra, Bilaspur, and Durg.

The Corporation has also appealed to all industries to clear their long pending dues on the given date of March 20 and avail fifty per cent penalty waver benefit, the officials said.
