Clean up wells in the district: Collector

SR

Collector Ashok Agrawal has asked the officials concerned to compulsorily clean all wells of the district during a month-long ‘National Cleanliness Campaign’ being observed from September 25 to October 23. Agrawal issued directives in this regard in the District Health Committee meeting held in the Collectorate.

He asked to make available funds for cleaning of wells through ‘Gram Swachhata Samiti’ (Village Cleanliness Committee). During the meet, the Collector learnt about availability of medicines in the sensitive villages.

While reviewing the Child Health Programme, he asked the doctors for taking all necessary steps to ensure best possible treatment to the children.

The Collector directed the doctors to refer the children in poor health condition to big hospitals situated outside the district for treatment, if required. Agrawal also assured the officials concerned for sanctioning funds required to keep the health facilities in the district up-to-date.

The Collector reviewed the progress of Infant Health Programme, vaccination, NRC, family planning and other reports in the meeting.

The Zila Panchayat CEO, Dr Priyanka Shukla asked the doctors to turn up on duty on time or stringent action will be taken against those found absent from their jobs without prior intimation. She warned the doctors of departmental inquiry if the situation did not improve in the coming days.

Additional Collector, TK Verma, SDM Mohala, Rajat Bansal, Chief Medical and Health Officer, Dr CS Mohabe, District Malaria Officer, Dr Mithilesh Chaudhary and the block health officers were present on the occasion.
