Municipal Commissioner D K Singh has recommended disciplinary action against an Assistant Engineer of Rural Roads Development Authority D K Dubey to the District Collector on charges of raising unsolicited slogans and writing an objectionable letter to his superior.
Dubey is connected to the work of distribution of forms for new ration cards in the district. On the basis of a complaint lodged by Corporator Devnarayan Chandrakar, a show cause notice had been served on two more employees for changing the venue of the camp without prior permission. The Commissioner had directed that Zonal officers to deposit all the applications received at the camp by evening every day with the Revenue Department so that their scrutiny and other works get completed on time .
It may be mentioned that the forms for the ration cards are being distributed at various camps held in the wards of Durg Municipal Corporation under Chhattisgarh Food Security law.
The Assistant Engineer Dubey was on duty for the distribution of the forms besides similar duties assigned to Gurucharan Nag and Sub Engineer Tandula. Dubey in a letter to the In-charge officer for the preparation of ration card had demanded facilities fitting his post.
At the same time the Nodal Officer of ward 25 R K Upadhayay was absent without notice and later came back and demanded sanction of a ‘sick leave’. Similarly in ward Number 17 teacher Nina Deshmukh and changed the venue of the camp without informing the Corporator or the Assitant Revenue officials.
Another case of applications not being deposited despite the directives of Nodal Officer of Borsi Bhata was received and show cause notice was served to the concerned employees.
