Bharatiya Janata Party State spokesperson Sachchidanand Upasane on Friday alleged that Raipur Municipal Corporation mayor Kiranmayi Nayak has been violating the Model Code of Conduct by getting her pictures published on banners in Garba and Dandiya Raas venues.
In a statement issued here on Friday, Upasane urged the Election Commission of India to attach the expenditure being made by the Mayor on getting her pictures published in the poll expenditure of Congress party. On one hand, the posters and banners of political parties are being removed in the entire State, the city administration is busy projecting the mayor as the First lady of Raipur, Upasane alleged.
