The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) congratulated the Chhattisgarh Government on ‘creditable showing’ in the list of 'Ease of Doing Business' released by the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion (DIPP), Union Ministry of
“It is great news for us. The ranking is ample proof of the State Government’s hard work and collaborative approach towards building a business-friendly environment in the State,” said Ashish Jain, Chairman, CII Chhattisgarh State Council in a statement issued on Wednesday.
“We compliment the State Government and its leadership for its determination and focused approach to make things better for businesses and society at large,” he said.
Chhattisgarh became the first state in the eastern region and second in India, after Andhra Pradesh, to take the ‘giant step’ towards creating a conducive and vibrant environment for businesses when it exchanged a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on building a Master Plan on Ease of Doing Business in Chhattisgarh, Vision 2020, with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and the lee Kuan Yew School for Public Policy (lKYSPP) of Singapore, Jain said.
“CII also recommended deemed approval for clearances in a time bound manner, sector specific policies, provided policy inputs and submitted Industry specific representations,” he added.
“We look forward to work more closely with the State Government and take the things forward,” Jain said.
