The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Chhattisgarh has welcomed the State Budget 2015 presented by Chief Minister Raman Singh in the State Assembly on Friday. ‘CII takes this initiative to congratulate the State Government. It can be said as the Industry-friendly Budget. This Budget has mainly focused on youth, infrastructure and industrial development with special stress on poor and agriculture, a CII press release issued here stated.
Ashish Jain, Chairman, CII Chhattisgarh State Council, said that it was in keeping with CII's expectations. "Many of our recommendations have been incorporated in the Budget. Positive indications for the long term have been announced on a number of important issues, we welcome the steps announced for improvement.
He said that the recession has affected the local industries of Chhattisgarh and industries were expecting support from the State Government for their demands. Mahendra Agrawal, Vice Chairman, CII Chhattisgarh State Council said that "On the whole, we are satisfied with the stimulus given to the economy and the long-term policy intentions announced by the Chief Minister in the Budget.
