State Home Minister Ramsevak Paikra informed the Chhattisgarh Assembly on Monday that cases have been registered under IPC Sections 302 and 34 against the then police station In-charge and other police personnel in the Meena Khalkho case with the CID police station of the Headquarters.
In a written reply to Congress member
TS Singhdeo, the Minister informed that the judicial inquiry report had arrived at the conclusion that since Meena Khalkho’s death occurred by fire arms of the police, so it has to be investigated in reality as to who were responsible for her death.
The Minister said that the CID inquiry into Meena Khalkho case was announced on April 7, 2015 and the investigation report is
awaited.
