Choubey hits back at Chandrakar for comment against Cong

Staff Reporter

Sharply reacting to the comment of former minister and BJP legislator Ajay Chandrakar against the Congress in connection with Hareli festival, Agriculture Minister Ravindra Choubey said the remark was “narrow minded.”

Chandrakar appealed to the people of the state to place ‘Neem’ leaves in front of their houses in order to save them from Congress’s ideology. He also raised question as to who is the real ‘Chhattisgarhia’ and asked for setting up a SIT for the same.

Meanwhile, Choubey commenting on the statement of Chandrakar said the BJP leader needed “mental    checkup.” He further said as per tradition the Neem leaves are not placed in front of houses as protection from witchcraft but for scientific reasons.

It is placed to create awareness about environment conservation and also because the Neem has antibiotic  quality.
