State Chief Secretary Sunil Kumar’s mother Sumam Kurup breathed her last at Dr BR Ambedkar Hospital in the city on Thursday morning. She was 82. Ms Kurup was admitted to the hospital for treatment of brain hameorrhage on October 29 in the Intensive Care Unit.
Governor Shekhar Dutt and Chief Minister Raman Singh have expressed profound grief over the demise of Chief Secretary’s mother and prayed for peace of the departed soul. The last rites of Ms Kurup were carried out at Cremation ghat near Devendra Nagar on Thursday afternoon.
