Chief Electoral Officer, Chhattisgarh through social media platform Facebook to spread awareness and ensuring participation of maximum citizens of State in election, has made a social page.
The aim is to link more and more people in the activities of Election Commission and people can receive more information.
To commence the awareness and participation campaign, the painting, sketch, photograph and slogan writing competition in three categories have been organised. Seven subjects have been kept for participating in the competitions; they are ethical voting, electors’ awareness, ‘Mera Vote-Mera Adhikar’, comprehensible election, why voting is important, no voter is left out, Voting- Strengthening democracy like subjects have been fixed.
The participant can send painting, sketch, photograph and slogans on these subjects. The participant has to post these through his own Facebook account. Based on the likes, the categories of different prizes have been fixed.
The candidate can use any medium and topics as given to record his participation. The necessary rules and conditions of participation are available on website http://ceochhattisgarh.nic.in. As per the competition, if any participant in his facebook page within a specified timelimit gets the likes, they would be given certificate and cash prize from Rs 500 to Rs 50,000.
The participant through their facebook page should also tag their valid EPIC number, #ChhattisgarhVotes and @CEOChhattisgarh for participation in the competition. The competition has already started and the last date for participation is October 14. The winners would be declared after the election process is completed. The main aim of the event is to bring out the creative self of citizens along with increasing the percentage of voting.
