The Chhattisgarh government on Wednesday decided to consider the central government's guideline for partial reopening of schools for students of Classes 9 to 12 from September 21 on a voluntary basis, a senior official said on Wednesday.

Chhattisgarh is already running online education classes, the official said, adding that a decision regarding the Centre’s guideline on allowing attendance by 50 percent  of the teachers will be decided after a high-level meeting.

During Covid-19  lockdown, the Chhattisgarh government in April launched its online portal for students "Padhai Tunhar Duvaar" (Studies at Doorstep) with the motto of providing online          education platforms for school students.

Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel had launched the e-learning platform "Padhai Tunhar Dwar" with the motto of taking an innovative step to teach school children at home. With the help of this portal, lakhs of students of the state got online          education.

The School Education Department of the Chhattisgarh government has developed the portal for online studies with the help of National Informatics Centre (NIC).

Learning resources for students from Class 1 to 10 have been made available on the website of the Department of School Education cgschool.in.

The Centre's guideline refers to partial reopening of schools for students on a voluntary basis and a written consent of the students' parents or guardians. The teacher-student interactions must be organized in a staggered manner.
