Vaccination against Covid-19 has been stepped up in Chhattisgarh. More than 2 lakh jabs have been given each of the past two days whereas the total vaccination since June 21 has reached 770,804 shots.
An official statement said that since the inception of the pandemic, around one fourth of the total population has been vaccinated with the first dose in the state. This is far better that the national average of 19 percent.
The infection in the state was well under control and the positivity rate had dipped to 1.1 percent. In April, the positivity rate was 30 percent.
“A total of 972,372 persons have been cured of the infection," the statement said.
