A case of cheating has come to light with lower value tickets offered to a buyer for higher amount paid by him in the city. A complaint in this regard was received at the Civil lines Police Station. However the ticket money was refunded, police said.
According to police, Nilesh Kumar a resident of Shankar Nagar has reported the matter to Civil lines police. He informed police that he had booked four tickets of Rs 20,000 value each while paying Rs 80,000 but was offered tickets each of Rs 18,000 value only. later on the complainant contacted the IPl authorities who refunded the ticket.
later on Nilesh reported the matter to police. According to Civil lines Police Station In-charge T R Kanwar such a complaint was received. “Since the money has been refunded there need not take any action over the complaint,” said Kanwar.
It may be mentioned that the IPl matches would be played at the International Cricket Stadium in Naya Raipur on April 28 and May 1 this year.
