District Collector Siddharth Komal Singh Pardeshi along with Colonel G Rawat inspected the air strip at Chakarbhata on Thursday.  For constructing the runway, the 926 acres of land has been allocated to Indian Army which it has taken into possession. Remaining 300 acers of land will be soon allocated to the Army.
The Collector has ordered district officials to complete the required formalities soon. While having a discussion with Colonel Rawat, the Collector urged him to get the runway constructed in such a manner that it may be sufficient for use for the next 50 years. He said that he has ordered the SDM to carry out survey for ensuring that no high-rise building or poultry farm or meat shop is constructed in the vicinity of the air strip. “I have asked officials to ensure necessary action is taken in this connection,” he said, assuring every possible assistance would be provided for developing the runway.
