To provide environment clearance to various projects in Chhattisgarh, the Ministry of Environment and Forest, Government of India has notified formation of the State level Environment Impact Assessment Authority (SEIAA) and State Expert Appraisal Committee (SEAC), officials said here on Monday. According to the officials, DS Bal will be the Chairman of the State level Environment Impact Assessment Authority (SEIAA) while Dr Mukund lal Nayak and Secretary of Housing and Environment Department would be the members.
Similarly Dhirendra Sharma will be the Chairman of State Expert Appraisal Committee (SEAC). The members include NR Yadav, UC Pandey, Arvind Kumar Gaurah, Vinay Kumar Mishra, Dr Deepak Sinha, Surendra Kumar Jain and Dr MWY Khan. Joint Secretary of Housing and Environment Department will be the member secretary of the Committee. The notification has been published in the Gazette of India (Extraordinary) dated February 5, 2015, the officials said.
