With a view to providing a major relief to lower-rank Government employees in the post-demonetization scenario triggering lower cash availability with banks, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh in a significant decision on Thursday directed officials that the Class III and IV category employees be made advance cash payment of Rs 10,000 from their salary for the November month.
According to official information, the employees will receive cash payment of Rs 10,000 on November 28, 29 and 30th of the current month at their respective offices.
The cash withdrawing and disbursing officers will make the payments.
The Chief Minister has directed officers of the Finance Department to take necessary steps in this direction.
He has also directed the District Collectors to keep an eye on the advance cash distribution exercise. About two lakh State government employees are likely to be benefited by this decision, officials stated.
