A case of criminal breach of trust was registered with Azad Chowk police station. The accused in case ran away with cash Rs7 lakh, police said on Friday.
According to police, Veerendra Kumar Pandey (45) owner of lakshmi Steel Agency, Badhaipara reported that Mukund Singh (43) who used to work in his shop ran away with cash Rs7 lakh. Pandey in the complaint maintained that accused Mukund Singh was his faithful worker and was working in his shop for past 4 to 5 years. Pandey had made a deal with an iron trader in city and on April 1 asked Mukund Singh to collect cash Rs7 lakh from the trader. “Mukund Singh after taking the cash never handed over the cash to Pandey,” said officer investigating the case. On complaint of Pandey Azaad Chowk police has registered a case under Section 408 of Indian Penal Code (IPC) and are investigating.
