The Raipur Collector on Wednesday called for a ‘Fire Audit’ of all hospitals in Raipur district and city besides all multistorey buildings.
Committees have been set up and told to submit reports within three days, an official statement said.
The order said it has been found that hospital buildings/clinics and multistorey buildings are not strictly following fire safety norms.
Keeping this in view, all these buildings have to undergo ‘Fire Audit’ under fire safety and other related standards of fire prevention, life safety and fire protection under the National Building Code of India 2016.
A panel led by the Raipur Sub Divisional Magistrate will inspect hospitals and multistorey buildings outside the corporation limits. SDM Abhanpur and Arang will conduct audits in their limits.
