nIn a horrifying road accident, the son of Chhattisgarh High Court Justice Gautam Chourdiya died after the car he was driving collided with a trailer early on Saturday in Rajnandgaon.
“Priyansh Chourdiya, son of Justice Gautam Chourdiya, left his house at Kamthi in Rajandgaon around 5.30 am for getting fuel for his car (CG-07 AR-1300), which met with the accident at a national highway passing through the city,” Basantpur police station in-charge Ruchi Verma told The Pioneer over phone.
The car hit the trailer on the rear side and was dragged for about 2 km before coming to a halt near Barfani Baba temple, the officer said.
Soon after the incident, the victim was rushed to the Medical College Hospital where doctors declared him brought dead.
The trailer was coming from Odisha and its driver, Raghu Choudhary, was arrested, Verma said, adding a case has been registered against the driver.
