‘Krishna Kunjs’ will be dedicated to the public and a mega plantation drive will be commenced at 162 places in urban areas across Chhattisgarh on Janmashtami on Friday.
Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel will initiate the plantation drive by planting a sapling at 'Krishna Kunj' at Telibandha in Raipur, an official spokesperson said.
Other public representatives will plant saplings in their respective districts, he added.
Collectors have been made in-charge of the drive. The Forest Department will be the nodal agency.
To accord uniformity in 'Krishna Kunjs' a logo and design of the gate has been prepared by the office of the Principle Chief Conservator of Forest (PCCF).
