The accelerating economic activities after the start of unlocking in Chhattisgarh has seen a rise by 19 percent in the registration of land and industry-related documents in the state.
As compared to June last year, 17 percent more revenue was generated in June this year, an official communication said on Friday.
These figures show that Chhattisgarh's economy remained dynamic due to the measures taken by the state government during the Covid-19 pandemic under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel. Even the Reserve Bank of India appreciated the rapid growth in the agriculture sector during the crisis period.
The statement said that the flow of money was maintained by operation of large-scale employment-oriented works and regular payment through MNREGA in the villages.
Under the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana, farmers were given direct cash benefit. The government also granted concessions to industries during the Covid crisis. Farm-based commercial activities went on unabated.
In June 2019, revenue of Rs 107.53 crores was received from the registration of documents. This went up in June 2020 to Rs 125.74 crores.
In June last year, 23,391 documents were registered compared to 27,759 in June this year, said the official statement.
