Chhattisgarh is ready with an action plan to eliminate tuberculosis (T) by 2025, Health Minister T.S. Singh Deo announced on Thursday.
The Minister said this while taking part in a virtual meeting of health ministers under the chairmanship of Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare Mansukh Mandaviya.
Singh Deo said the Chhattisgarh government is trying to make available at least two TrueNat machines in each district to diagnose TB.
He admitted that Covid-19 had affected the diagnosis and treatment of TB patients.
“There are 18,233 active TB patients in the state. Now the state is ready with an action plan against the disease,” he said.
