As part of Centre's ‘Safe Road for All’ policy, Chhattisgarh is implementing the Integrated Road Accident Database (iRAD) project.

The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways is implementing the project with a view to improve road safety across the country, an official communication said on Friday.

Training includes filing of data related to registration of the accident victim after he is brought to hospital, status of his condition, medical procedure adopted, report of treatment, certificates and other relevant details.

The database collected across the country will be analyzed to understand reasons for road accidents, bring policy changes and adopt strategies in road design.
