Chhattisgarh's Health and Family Welfare Department met on Wednesday to strengthen health services and ensure ‘Health for All’ through government hospitals.

Its Secretary Prasanna R organized a meeting of national and international partner organizations and NGOs to discuss in detail how to strengthen the health services in the state.

The discussion centred on providing treatment to the maximum number of people through government hospitals. The meeting was held at Swasthya Bhawan, Nava Raipur, an official communication said.

Prasanna underlined the need to work on the theme ‘Health for All’. The institutions should provide quality services to the people, he said.

He told the representatives of various organizations that any deficiency in providing health services to the people at the ground level should be intimated to the department.

This can help eliminate the shortcomings and improve the health facilities.

He called for reducing the infant mortality and maternal mortality rates.

The organizations highlighted their contributions in the diagnosis of cancer, maternal health, child health, TB, filaria, elderly health, medical oxygen services support and non-communicable diseases as well as health services.
