A new ‘Flare Stack’ constructed during the Capital Repair of Converter No.3 of Converter Shop was commissioned on Friday at the Bhilai Steel Plant (BSP) here.
The Flare Stack was constructed under the guidance of Sanjeev Nayyar, GM (SMS-2 & CCS) and Debashish Chaudhuri, GM In-charge (Project-Steel) by the collective team of Converter Shop, Projects (Steel-Zone) and HSCl and supported by Energy Management Department and BEDB, a BSP press release issued here on Monday stated.
This is an important step in ensuring gas safety in Bhilai Steel Plant and as a result of which, maintenance of any Flare Stack can be under taken with full safety without hampering production in the other two converters, it stated.
