Energy Management department of Bhilai Steel Plant, the flagship unit of the public sector Steel Authority of India ltd (SAIl), has safely and successfully commissioned about 160 RM of new Coke oven gas line to Sintering Plant no. II, a statement of the plant informed on Saturday.
“This will enable SP-II to switch over all their machines from existing gas header to the new line and finally shutdown the running gas main for replacement,’’ the statement added.
The new gas line replacement was carried out under the leadership of Naveen Kumar DGM I/c (EMD) and guided by P.K. Singh DGM (EMD) and S.K. Dashore AGM (Gas Safety) EMD.
The job was executed by M/s MJ Enterprises and supervised by P.R. Thakur, Asst. Mgr (Gas Safety) EMD. The dept has thanked Contract Cell, Fire Services, SP-II and TPl for cooperation in completing the job.
