Chhattisgarh Agriculture and Water Resources Minister Brijmohan Agrawal has been appointed as the Chairman of the Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana (PMKSY) for the Committee formed for inviting suggestions on the execution of the aforesaid scheme.
Officials stated the first meeting of this Committee is scheduled in New Delhi on March 5.
The Committee was formed following the directives of Union Minister for Water Resources Uma Bharti after the Jal Manthan meeting organized at Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi from February 22-23.
Notably, Maharashtra’s Minister for Irrigation Girish Dattatray Mahajan, Telangana Minister for Irrigation, Marketing and legislative Affairs T Harish Rao along with secretaries of Assam, Rajasthan, J&K and Andhra Pradesh are the members of this Committee.
